The Last 6 Months in a Nutshell

The last 6 months have been some of the craziest in a long time! I've really missed blogging and posting pics, but here are a few to catch you guys up. These are some designs I created for Faithful Strokes; I've still been helping there and teaching some, but here are a few you will hopefully see in the future. You design one for summer then before you know it summer is gone! Anyways, I've got a few in the works that could be for any season that I hope to post soon. I am trying to paint about 6 of this new type that I want to post all at once. I've got 2 done and the 3rd one is in the works.

Lively Lattice

Paradise Island (inspired by a painting I saw at Gulf Shores)

Sweet Sunset

"Wild" Flowers (inspired by some flip flops I had LOL :) )

Well, I guess the last 6 months have been so insane because I have been working my full time job (which has involved a lot of extra time marketing), working some at Faithful Strokes, designing some for Faithful Strokes, and doing some paintings and expos here and there for Initial Designs. Also, my husband tore his ACL back in October of 2011 so there's been a lot more to do around the house. Praise the Lord, though, he was able to return to work just about 3 weeks ago!! We were praying so hard for that! Anyways, in the meantime, our 5 yr old just started Kindergarten as well!
(Here's his pre-K graduation pic!)

Now that we are getting back on a schedule, I hope to be getting more painting and blogging done after he goes to bed :) Key word there is hope...or I may just pass out. I used to could stay up late and get up early no problem :) Anyways, this is just a fraction of what's been going on, but I'm sure you guys are in the same boat and understand. The main thing I am keeping in mind despite all the craziness is we are truly blessed in so many ways and the Lord has been so good to me and my family. I pray you all are doing well! Miss my bloggin buddies: Linda, Bethany, Kristin...just to name a few and hope ya'll are doing great! Wanted to give a special shoutout to Linda and a friend from church, Jennifer, because tonight I just happened to stumble across a couple of places where they posted about my blog and I had never seen them before! Thanks to you all that have supported me!

This is a beautiful cross design"Amazing Grace"
by Lisa Butler at Faithful Strokes.

Just posted this cross because I love it and plan on trying to design a cross painting soon!

Well, I guess that is all for now, but I really do hope to be back very soon with the new pics I promised of the 6 new paintings all a variation on one design.

God bless you all! Good night!
